Maybe you’ll even make one for each season. Changing the yarn you use for the bag can completely change the look and seasonality of the bag. Those bright colors are perfect for a spring/summer round bag, and the more neutral tones, perfect for fall and winter.

Cities Crochet Circle Bag Pattern Part 3

Alright, let’s move on to the rest of the crochet circle bag pattern and finish up our bags! Below you’ll see written instructions first followed by a step by step photo tutorial. You’ll breeze through this part and be dropping your keys and wallet in your new crochet circle bag before you know it!

Adding the Cities Circle Bag Handles

Join yarn in the 8th st from either the side of bag

Strand 1: Chain 47 and join with a sl st to the 8th st from the other side of the bag

Strand 2: sl st to the 7th st from the side, ch 48, join with sl st to 7th st on other side.

Strand 3: sl st to the 6th st from the side, ch 49, join with sl st to 6th st on other side.

Strand 4: sl st to the 5th st from the side, ch 50, join with sl st to 5th st on other side.

Repeat Strands 1-4 on other side of the crochet circle bag.

Hold 4 of the strands together from one side of the bag. Join yarn around the 4 strands towards the middle. 12 Scs around the 4 strands. Tie off. Before weaving in the ends, adjust the scs to be in the middle of the handle and remove the gaps  – the stitches should be easy to move around.

Optional Button:

Sew button, centered between the handles, on Round 10.  From the other side of the purse, attach yarn in the 7th stitch in from the handle, ch as many as needed to snuggly fit around the button and attach to the 7th st in from the other side of the handle.
